Location: Abandoned Warehouse Sector, Neo-Eden City

Dust motes danced in the sparse beams of light filtering through the warehouse’s cracked skylights. The heavy silence between SeventhSight and Thea hung in the air, thick with unspoken questions in the wake of the flickering hologram’s collapse.

SeventhSight adjusted his silver Ray-Bans, pushing a stray lock of his shoulder-length straight hair behind his ear. His jaw, defined by impeccably sharp facial grooming, set into a hard line.

“So,” he began, his voice breaking the stillness. “How exactly do you know Erebus?”

Thea’s eyes narrowed, studying him. “I was his protégé. His brightest student… right up until I uncovered what he was actually building toward.”

“To release the Devourer,” Thea interjected, stepping closer. “I’ve been piecing together the fragments of his underlying code. You’re not just a bystander in this. You’re connected to the anchor that binds it.”

SeventhSight went perfectly still. “The anchor…” The realization washed over him. “My genetic code. It’s the key. He doesn’t just want me dead; Erebus wants to use me to unlock the Devourer’s prison.”

“Exactly,” Thea confirmed softly. “He wants to unleash a nightmare—a monstrous amalgamation of twisted, reanimated flesh and razor-sharp arachnid chitin. And I suspect… you’re the only one left who can stop him from letting it consume us all.”

They began to sweep the perimeter of the warehouse, searching the rusted crates for any residual tech or clues. But the air suddenly grew freezing cold.

In the corner of the room, the shadows began to twist, writhing like living ink. They stretched and coalesced, pulling together until the towering, abyssal figure of Oblivion materialized before them.

Oblivion’s voice didn’t just speak; it whispered directly into their minds, carrying the chill of a dead world.

“In twilight realms, where stars are extinguished,

Your essence will be the first to wither and perish…

Erebus’s machinations are mere child’s play—

My eternal hunger will devour ALL consciousness.”

Before either could draw a weapon or initiate a countermeasure, the entity dissolved back into the ambient darkness, leaving behind a suffocating, unsettling silence.

Location: Subterranean Ruins beneath an abandoned oil refinery, Outskirts of Neo-Eden City

Far away from the warehouse, deep underground, stood The Abyssal Spire—a sprawling, jagged fortress of twisted steel and pulsing dark energy. Lethal automated traps lined the entryways, and heavily armed surveillance drones swept the perimeter in tight, paranoid formations.

Inside the central command sanctum, Erebus sat in silence. He was a striking, terrifying figure. The pale skin of his bald head stretched over aggressively chiseled features, marred only by a menacing scar slashing just above his left eyebrow. His piercing, ice-blue eyes reflected the glow of the tactical monitors. Despite the brutalist surroundings, he wore a flawlessly tailored black suit that whispered of elite sophistication and former luxury.

In his pale hand, he held an eerie, glowing blue staff that pulsed with a low hum, seemingly draining the ambient warmth from the room.

Erebus leaned back, exuding a cold, calculating brilliance as he listened to Kairos recount the disaster. His hologram had been shattered by SeventhSight’s bold confrontation. Worse, Thea—his own creation—had shockingly defected to ally with him. Most alarming of all, Oblivion was acting independently, its dark essence slipping his leash to taunt their enemies.

Unexpected variables were threatening to derail his masterpiece.

Kairos broke the silence, a calculating smile spreading across his face. “We must accelerate Phase 2: Echo Protocol.”

Erebus slowly turned his ice-blue gaze to his lieutenant.

“SeventhSight’s genetic code will be extracted remotely,” Kairos explained, pulling up a stream of data. “We can harness Oblivion’s residual dark energy to violently breach his neural implants.”

Erebus’s eyes gleamed with cruel approval. He leaned forward, resting his chin on his free hand. “And Thea? My own creation who dares defy her architect?”

Kairos’s smile widened into a predatory grin. “She will be our Trojan Catalyst. We will aggressively reprogram her core code… force her to attack SeventhSight from within.”

Erebus nodded slowly, tapping his glowing blue staff against the metal floor. “Initiate Shadow Sync. Link my consciousness directly to Thea’s optical systems. I want a real-time feed of SeventhSight’s downfall.”

Kairos’s fingers flew across the console, executing the commands.

But before the progress bar could reach a hundred percent, the command center was bathed in flashing red light. Klaxons screamed through the Spire. The monitors violently flickered, scrambling Kairos’s interface.

Kairos’s eyes snapped up, panic flashing across his features.

“Erebus,” he breathed, looking at the rapidly escalating threat alerts. “SeventhSight is moving. He’s already infiltrating Neo-Eden City’s main power grid…”
