Erebus vanished into the darkness, the Carrionlord’s power surging through him as he disappeared from sight. The minions, determined to complete their mission, charged forward to transport the Carrionlord’s body to the Abyssal Spire. SeventhSight and Aria stood ready, their chests heaving with exhaustion. Then Aria slammed her chronostaff into the ground, unleashing Time Requiem: time itself seemed to bend and warp around the minions, slowing their movements to a crawl. She followed it up with Chronocide: tendrils of pure time energy shot out from her staff, wrapping around the slowed minions and erasing them from existence. SeventhSight followed her lead, his runesword slicing through the darkness in powerful arcs, unleashing Dawn’s Fury: the very ground around his enemies erupted into flames, waves of fire spreading outwards from his blade as he struck.

The minions, elite warriors handpicked by Erebus, opened fire with their rifles, bullets ripping through the air towards SeventhSight and Aria. The two heroes dove for cover, SeventhSight’s runesword flashing as he deflected several shots, while Aria channeled time magic to slow the bullets down, letting them drop harmlessly to the ground. Then they counterattacked: SeventhSight charged forward, his sword slicing through the air and unleashing powerful shockwaves that sent the minions flying. Aria followed up with a barrage of time magic, each blast striking true – but the minions’ armor held strong, protecting them from the worst of the damage.

As the battle raged on, a separate group of minions had slipped away unnoticed, their footsteps quiet as they approached the Carrionlord’s body. They lifted her onto a stretcher, their movements swift and practiced as they began to transport her towards a waiting helicopter. The rotors whirred to life, lifting the aircraft off the ground as the minions climbed aboard. The ancient structure dwindled to a tiny speck as they soared into the sky, heading west towards the Abyssal Spire in America.

SeventhSight and Aria finally broke through the minions’ defenses, only to see the helicopter disappearing into the distance. SeventhSight’s eyes narrowed, his grip on his sword tightening as he watched the aircraft fly away. Aria’s face set in a determined expression, her staff glowing softly as she turned to SeventhSight.

SeventhSight’s eyes narrowed, his grip on his sword tightening as he watched the helicopter fly away. Aria’s face set in a determined expression, her staff glowing softly as she turned to him.
“They’re escaping,” SeventhSight growled, his voice low and urgent. He took a step forward, as if to chase after the helicopter, but it was already too far away.
“We have to stop them,” Aria replied, her eyes blazing with determination. She turned to face SeventhSight fully, her staff held tightly in her hand. “We can’t let them reach the Abyssal Spire. If they do, Erebus will have the power he needs to unleash Oblivion on the world.”

SeventhSight nodded grimly, his jaw clenched in determination. He knew Aria was right – they had to stop the minions, no matter what. He looked around, taking in their surroundings. They were in the middle of a desert, with nothing but sand dunes stretching out as far as the eye could see. There were no vehicles in sight, no way for them to follow the helicopter.

Aria’s eyes gleamed with a hint of mischief as she raised her staff. SeventhSight knew that look – she was planning something bold.
“Hold on to your sword, SeventhSight,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. Suddenly, the world around them began to blur and distort, colors bleeding into each other like paint in the rain. SeventhSight felt a strange sensation, as if his molecules were being rearranged. When the world snapped back into focus, they were standing in a sleek, high-tech room filled with computers and monitors. A large screen on the wall displayed a map of the world, with a red dot blinking rapidly.

Aria smiled, her eyes still gleaming with mischief. SeventhSight recognized the room – it was the command center of the Temporal Guard, an elite group of time-traveling agents who protected the timestream from threats like Erebus.

The Temporal Guard was a secret organization that worked closely with the United Nations to protect the timestream from threats both human and supernatural. They were led by a mysterious figure known only as the Timekeeper, who possessed the power to manipulate time itself and had the ear of the UN Secretary-General.
Aria led SeventhSight deeper into the command center, past rows of computer terminals and agents working to track down temporal threats. They finally reached a large door with a keypad lock. Aria entered a code, and the door slid open with a hiss, revealing a secure video conference room. The UN Secretary-General and the heads of several major countries were on the screen.

The Secretary-General’s face was grave as he looked at Aria and SeventhSight. “Report,” he said simply.
Aria stepped forward, her eyes locked on the screen. “Erebus has obtained the Carrionlord’s body,” she said, her voice firm. “His minions are transporting it to the Abyssal Spire as we speak. If they succeed, Erebus will gain the power to unleash Oblivion on the world.”
The room erupted into a chorus of denials and demands for action. SeventhSight watched, his expression grim, as world leaders scrambled to respond to the crisis.

The Secretary-General’s face was set in a determined expression. “We will assemble a team to infiltrate the Abyssal Spire and stop Erebus,” he said.
Aria nodded, her eyes locked on the screen. “We need to go to Eliana,” she said. “She’s the only one who can help us understand what Erebus is planning.”
SeventhSight nodded in agreement. Eliana was Aria’s mother and a powerful sorceress in her own right. If anyone could help them stop Erebus, it was her.

The Abyssal Spire loomed above the desert landscape like a skeletal finger, its twisted peak reaching towards the moon. Inside, Erebus stood over the Carrionlord’s body, his eyes blazing with power. He raised his hand, and a dark energy began to flow from his fingertips, enveloping the Carrionlord’s body.
“Ereia, my love, my heart, my everything,” he whispered, his voice low and husky. The Carrionlord’s body twitched, her eyes flashing open. She screamed, her body arching off the table as Erebus continued to pour his energy into her.
Suddenly, the Carrionlord’s body went still. Erebus’s eyes narrowed, his grip on her tightening. And then, in a flash of insight, he knew what he had to do. He turned to a nearby pod, where a young woman with long, dark hair and piercing green eyes lay motionless. Her skin was pale and synthetic, her body a mass of wires and circuits beneath the surface. Thea, an advanced android shell waiting for a consciousness to bring her to life.

Erebus’s eyes gleamed with excitement as he turned back to the Carrionlord’s body. He raised his hand, and a dark energy began to flow from his fingertips, enveloping her body. The Carrionlord’s eyes snapped open, her body arching off the table in agony.
“No…please…Erebus, stop!” she screamed, her voice hoarse from her earlier cries.
But Erebus just laughed, his eyes blazing with power. He began to experiment on her, pushing her body to its limits, testing her powers, her strength, her will. The Carrionlord screamed and begged, but Erebus just continued, driven by a growing madness.
And then, a voice whispered in his ear, its tone low and husky. She is strong, Erebus. But she will never be strong enough. Erebus’s eyes narrowed, his grip on the Carrionlord tightening. Who are you? he demanded. “Oblivion,” the voice replied. “And I am coming.”
