SeventhSight turned around, his eyes widening in shock as he saw Erebus fall to the ground. He immediately turned back to Malakar, his hand igniting with purple flames. He fired a stream of energy at Malakar, but he was too late. Malakar had already pulled out a small device and pressed a button on it. Eliana was on her knees next to Erebus, holding his hand and crying. Leni rushed to her side, trying to comfort her. ‘We need to get him out of here,’ Leni said. Eliana nodded, still crying. SeventhSight looked at Kairos. ‘Malakar…’ he started. ‘I know,’ Kairos said. ‘I saw him. He’s heading to the old warehouse on Saiyinbao Lu.’

Suddenly, a loud explosion shook the building. The portal had opened, and the Carrionborn were pouring through. The Sons of Ishmael rushed forward, fighting them off. SeventhSight looked at Kairos. ‘We need to go,’ he said. ‘Now.’ As they rushed out, a giant tentacle slammed into the ground next to them. A massive Shoggoth emerged from the portal. SeventhSight pushed Leni and Eliana out of the way, just in time. The Shoggoth turned towards them, its eyes fixed on SeventhSight. SeventhSight drew his sword, its blade glowing with both light and dark energy. He charged forward, slashing at the Shoggoth’s tentacles. The Shoggoth roared in pain, but it didn’t fall. Meanwhile, Kairos turned towards the Carrionborn, his eyes glowing with Nexarion magic.

SeventhSight dodged the Shoggoth’s tentacles, striking at its core. The Shoggoth roared, its body beginning to destabilize. But then it struck SeventhSight with a tentacle, sending him flying across the street. He struggled to get up, his body bruised and battered. The Shoggoth turned towards him, ready to deliver the final blow. Kairos, meanwhile, was cutting through the Carrionborn like they were paper. His magic was powerful, and they didn’t stand a chance. But there were too many of them, and soon he found himself surrounded. The Shoggoth’s tentacle came crashing down on SeventhSight, but he rolled out of the way just in time. He jumped to his feet, striking at the Shoggoth with all his might. The blade bit deep into the Shoggoth’s core, causing it to let out a deafening roar. It stumbled backwards, its body destabilizing even further.

Kairos was still surrounded, but he was holding his own. He blasted the Carrionborn with his magic, sending them flying. But just as he thought he was gaining the upper hand, one of them struck him from behind, sending him crashing to the ground. SeventhSight took advantage of the Shoggoth’s momentary weakness. He struck again and again, each blow landing with precision and power. The Shoggoth stumbled backwards, its body destabilizing even further. Finally, with one last blow, SeventhSight struck the final blow, slicing the Shoggoth in half. Kairos, meanwhile, was struggling to get back to his feet. The Carrionborn were closing in on him, their blades raised high. But just as all hope seemed lost, the Chinese military arrived, guns blazing. They cut down the Carrionborn, saving Kairos’ life.

The soldiers moved forward, finishing off the remaining Carrionborn. Kairos stood up, brushing himself off. He looked over at SeventhSight, who was still standing over the Shoggoth’s corpse. He nodded at him, a sign of respect. SeventhSight nodded back, sheathing his sword. Leni and Eliana rushed over to them, relief written across their faces. ‘You’re okay!’ Leni exclaimed. Eliana ran to SeventhSight, hugging him tightly. ‘I was so scared,’ she said. SeventhSight smiled, hugging her back. ‘I’m fine,’ he said. But then they remembered Erebus. ‘We need to get him to a hospital,’ Leni said. SeventhSight nodded, picking up Erebus’ body. They rushed off, hoping to save their friend’s life.
