SeventhSight slowly came to, his head pounding and his ears ringing. He was lying on the ground, surrounded by the other members of the Erebus initiative – Erebus, Leni, and Captain Ortega. They all looked like they’d been through hell – their clothes were torn and covered in dust, and they were all bleeding from various wounds. Kairos was still floating in the air, suspended by the Carrionlord’s powers. The Carrionlord stood over them, her eyes blazing with power. SeventhSight felt a surge of fear as he realized they were all at her mercy.

The Carrionlord’s eyes narrowed, and she spoke in a voice that sent shivers down SeventhSight’s spine. “You are no match for me,” she said. “You are nothing but insects, to be crushed beneath my heel. And soon, I will crush you all.” SeventhSight felt a surge of fear, and he knew that the world was watching. The camera on his shoulder was still active, and the President of the United States was still on the line. He could hear the President’s voice, calm and steady, but with a hint of fear beneath. “SeventhSight, can you hear me? What’s your status? We’re watching the whole thing from here. The whole world is watching. We need to know what’s going on.”
The Carrionlord laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. She raised her hand, and SeventhSight felt himself lifted off the ground, joining Kairos in mid-air. The others were lifted too, and soon all five of them were hanging suspended, helpless. The Carrionlord’s eyes blazed with power as she spoke. “Tell the world this, SeventhSight. Tell them that the Carrionlord has come, and nothing can stop me. I will bring death and destruction to every corner of the globe. And I will start here, in this city. The camera on SeventhSight’s shoulder continued to roll, capturing every moment of the horror. The world watched in shock and terror as the Carrionlord began to laugh again, a cold, maniacal sound.

The Carrionlord’s laughter echoed through the courtyard, and SeventhSight felt a surge of fear. He knew that they were all going to die. The Carrionlord was too powerful, and they were no match for her. He looked over at the others, seeing the fear in their eyes. Erebus was struggling against the Carrionlord’s powers, but it was no use. Kairos was trying to use his own powers to break free, but the Carrionlord was too strong. Leni and Captain Ortega were just hanging there, looking at each other in fear. Suddenly, the Carrionlord stopped laughing. She looked at them all with a cold, calculating gaze. And then she spoke. “I will give you a choice. Swear loyalty to me, and I will let you live. Refuse, and you will die. The choice is yours.”

SeventhSight knew that they couldn’t swear loyalty to the Carrionlord. They had to refuse, no matter the cost. He looked over at the others, seeing the determination in their eyes. They all knew what they had to do. Captain Ortega spoke up first. “We will never swear loyalty to you,” he said, his voice firm and strong. The Carrionlord’s eyes narrowed, and she gestured with her hand. Captain Ortega screamed in pain as his body began to contort and twist, his limbs elongating and merging with each other. He was being turned into one of the Carrionborn. The others watched in horror as Captain Ortega’s body mutated, his face stretching into a grotesque grimace. And then he was gone, consumed by the Carrionlord’s powers. The Carrionlord turned to the others. “Who’s next?” she asked, her voice dripping with malice.

The Carrionlord smiled, a cold, cruel smile. “You want to know my secret?” she asked, her voice dripping with malice. “You want to know how I became so powerful? It’s simple, really. I consumed the first Carrionborn that the Sons of Ishmael created. They were weak, and they were dying. But I… I was different. I was stronger. And so I ate them, and I took their power for myself. And then I consumed the others that came after them. The failed experiments, the weak ones… they all became a part of me. And now, I’m the strongest of them all. SeventhSight felt a surge of horror at her words. He knew that she was telling the truth, that she had consumed the others to become so powerful.

The Carrionlord laughed again, and SeventhSight felt a surge of anger. He knew that they had to act fast, before she killed them all. He looked over at the others, seeing the determination in their eyes. They all knew what they had to do. Suddenly, Erebus broke free from the Carrionlord’s powers, using his strength to overpower her. He charged at her, tackling her to the ground. The others were freed as well, and they all joined the fight. SeventhSight used his powers to create illusions, trying to confuse the Carrionlord. Kairos used his powers to try and lift her off the ground, to restrain her. Leni tried to reason with her, to bring her back from the edge. But it was no use. The Carrionlord was too powerful, and she fought back with a fierce determination. She threw them all off, and then she turned and ran. She disappeared into the city, leaving them all behind. SeventhSight knew that they had to follow her, but he didn’t know where she was going. He looked at the camera on his shoulder, and he knew that the President was still watching. He spoke into the comms system. “Mr. President, we lost her. We don’t know where she’s going.” The President’s voice came back, calm and steady. “We think we do, SeventhSight. We’ve been tracking her movements, and we think she’s heading to China. Specifically, the Xinjiang region. There are rumors that the Sons of Ishmael have a base there, and we think she may be heading there to meet with them. You need to stop her, SeventhSight. You need to stop her before she gets there.

SeventhSight felt a surge of determination. He knew that they had to stop the Carrionlord, no matter what it took. He looked over at the others, seeing the same determination in their eyes. They all knew what they had to do. They set off towards the airport, knowing that they had to get to China as fast as possible. They couldn’t let the Carrionlord get there first. They couldn’t let her meet with the Sons of Ishmael. As they ran, SeventhSight spoke into the comms system again. “Mr. President, we’re on our way to the airport. We’ll get to China as fast as we can.” The President’s voice came back, calm and steady. “Good luck, SeventhSight. The whole world is counting on you. And be careful. The Carrionlord is not the only threat you’ll be facing. There are rumors of a traitor in your midst. Someone who is working with the Sons of Ishmael. You need to be careful. You can’t trust anyone.” SeventhSight felt a surge of fear at the President’s words. A traitor? Who could it be?

The President’s voice came back, calm and steady. “We’ll take care of the Chinese government, SeventhSight. We’ll make sure they don’t interfere. But you need to be careful. The Chinese government has… ties to certain organizations. Organizations that may be working with the Sons of Ishmael. We don’t know what their goals are, but we know they’re not good. You need to be careful. The Carrionlord is not the only threat you’ll be facing.
SeventhSight felt a surge of understanding. He knew that the President was talking about the Triad of the Veiled Dragons, a powerful Chinese organized crime syndicate with ties to the Order of the Veil. He knew that they were secretly backing the Sons of Ishmael, and that they would stop at nothing to achieve their goals. And then it clicked. The Carrionlord, the Sons of Ishmael, the Triad of the Veiled Dragons… they were all connected. They were all working together to bring about a new world order, with the Triad as the supreme rulers of the West. The Carrionlord was just a pawn in their game, a monster created to bring about chaos and destruction. And the Sons of Ishmael were the ones pulling the strings.
SeventhSight and his team were on their own for now. They had to get out of the city, and fast. They made their way to the airport, fighting off the Carrionborn along the way. The streets were a war zone, the buildings burning and the cars overturned. They finally reached the airport, where a US military plane was waiting for them. They ran across the tarmac, the Carrionborn right behind them. They reached the plane and climbed aboard, just as the Carrionborn were about to attack. The plane took off, leaving the city and the Carrionborn behind. SeventhSight and his team were finally safe. But they knew that the battle was far from over. The Carrionlord was still out there, and she would stop at nothing to destroy the world.
