The helicopter thundered through Palawan’s jungle canopy. Its searchlights slicing through darkness to illuminate ancient temple ruins covered with vines strangling crumbling stone walls.
In it, moss covering intricate carvings of gods and goddesses. SeventhSight opened the side door, his magical energy swirling around him like embers. His eyes glowing bright blue in night vision.
“Incoming fire – Sons of Ishmael and Order of the Veil are mobilized – heavy artillery and dark magic deployed. We must move swiftly!” SeventhSight, yelled. Erebus leapt out first, scepter blazing with fierce blue light. He wore black tactical clothing and a flowing black cape behind him. His glyphed battle mage armor would manifest instantly if needed, etched with runes of dark magic and ancient incantations.

He was followed by Kairos – unleashing sonic blasts from his hands to shatter nearby trees to clear a landing zone. He wore a sleek merger of armor and cybernetic enhancements – Nexarion armor plates on shoulders and chest, glowing blue circuits tracing his arms and legs like veins. Captain Ortega jumped next – machine gun at ready, scanning for targets with battle-hardened eyes –
His military fatigues were worn, scars on his face telling stories. He landed heavily, knees bent to absorb helicopter’s height. Leni landed beside him – rifle at ready, her black hair tied in ponytail, brown eyes fierce – She wore standard Philippine Army fatigues and armor vest. Ereia jumped last before SeventhSight, her long red hair flowing wildly. She landed softly, eyes wide – gripping assault rifle tightly. She was wearing black armor with silver accents reflecting under searchlights.
SeventhSight jumped lastly with magic shielding him from bullets already whizzing past all of them. He landed beside Erebus, eyes fixed on the temple entrance, “Heavy magic wards – I’ll disable them… Erebus, Kairos – clear the perimeter, Captain Ortega – cover fire!”
As SeventhSight sprinted towards the temple entrance, magic swirled around him like a shield. It appeared as a mesmerizing vortex of blue light dancing across his body. Bullets bounced off his magical barrier, whizzing past his head with eerie whispers, mere inches from claiming his life. He reached the entrance – ancient stone gates covered in vines and moss, intricate carvings of gods and goddesses. His hands glowed bright blue as he touched the stone. The magic wards collapsing like shattered glass. The air around him rippled – releasing magical energies dissipating slowly – revealing ancient runes etched above the entrance.
Meanwhile, Erebus cleared the left flank with deadly precision. His massive warhammer crushing Sons of Ishmael militants. Their bodies flew backwards. Their blood splattering on the trees. Erebus’ glyphed armor manifested instantly with etched runes glowing red, enhancing his strength. His blows crushed enemies with ease. The warhammer, emblazoned with dark magic runes glowed faintly – its power coursing through Erebus’ veins. He moved gracefully – black cape flowing behind him like a dark cloud. His eyes blazing with fierce inner light. His scepter remained sheathed at his side – awaiting magical summons.

Kairos cleared the right flank. He unleashed sonic blasts that shredded enemy lines like tissue. Blood splattering wildly. He leapt over debris – landing smoothly on both feet, his cybernetic legs absorbing the impact. Nexarion armor plates on his shoulders and chest glowing softly with blue circuits.

Captain Ortega laid down cover fire, his machine gun blazing at enemy reinforcements. The bullets ripping through their ranks. Leni flanked him. Her rifle firing precisely, taking out enemy gunners – protecting the Captain’s position with skill. Her brown eyes narrowed, focusing on targets. Her black hair tied in ponytail, bouncing slightly with each shot. Ereia watched SeventhSight’s back, her rifle sweeping a perimeter, ensuring no one sneaked up. Her eyes darting nervously, sensing darkness within – stirring – awakening. The temple entrance loomed – ominous and black – like mouth of a beast waiting to devour them whole.
As the last enemy fell, eerie silence descended. Only sounds of heavy breathing and distant jungle noises remained. SeventhSight turned to face his team – eyes still glowing blue, “We’re clear – temple entrance is open… Let’s gear up – we don’t know what’s inside.” Erebus nodded – hammer resting on shoulder. Glyphed armor dissipating like smoke. He drew his scepter – dark magic swirling within. “Agreed – Leni, Captain, take point – Kairos, Ereia, flank – I’ll follow with SeventhSight. Leni nodded – rifle raised, moving stealthily into temple entrance. Captain Ortega followed closely – machine gun at ready. Their footsteps echoed off ancient stone walls. Kairos and Ereia flanked them – eyes scanning the darkness. Erebus and SeventhSight brought up the rear.
Inside, temple air was thick. It felt heavy with dark magic and dread. Torches flickered – casting eerie shadows on walls. A long corridor stretched before them, ending in large stone doors adorned with twisted carvings of Zha’thik. The ancient god’s face distorted – eyes blackened –
as if consumed by darkness from within.

SeventhSight nodded to Erebus, “Erebus, blast the doors – we enter together. I’m ready to face whatever darkness lies within.” Erebus grinned – his hammer glowing faintly. But he instead drew back his scepter, dark magic swirling around it – forming a massive spell. The air around him rippled with anticipation. As he thrust his scepter forward with his magic blasting the doors, the stone exploded inward. Its shards flying everywhere, hitting the ground with loud clattering noises. It Revealed a massive chamber with torches lining the walls, casting flickering shadows across the room.
A huge statue of Zha’thik stood central in the room. It towered over them. Its presence awe-inspiring… but its face was gone. It was replaced with a dark void, as if the ancient god’s soul had been ripped out violently. Leaving behind only an empty, haunting, silence.
Leni gasped softly, her eyes wide with wonder. Captain Ortega crossed himself – whispering a quiet prayer. Kairos and Ereia exchanged nervous glances. Their faces illuminated only by flickering torchlight. Erebus and SeventhSight moved forward cautiously, their weapons at ready – senses on high alert. Suddenly, the ground trembled violently – the statue started glowing with eerie blue light. A voice boomed, echoing off walls: “Fools… you have freed… OBLIVION’S SEAL… Now face your doom – at hands of… CARRIONLORD!”
Suddenly, torches extinguished, plunging the chamber into darkness. SeventhSight’s magic ignited – casting a blue glow. Erebus’ scepter blazed red – illuminating some cultists emerging from the shadows, from behind pillars, from beneath the statue. Cultists of Oblivion – hooded figures wielding daggers. Chanting in unison, their voices echoing eerily. Their eyes glowing faintly, infected with dark magic.

Leni and Captain Ortega opened fire, guns blazing. Kairos unleashed sonic blasts – shredding cultist ranks. Ereia fired her rifle – precise shots dropping cultists. Erebus charged forward, his hammer crushing cultists. SeventhSight cast spells, his magic bolts flying wildly. Cultists surrounded them – outnumbering the team greatly. But they fought valiantly, holding ground against the horde. Suddenly, a cultist threw a vial – shattering at Ereia’s feet. Dark magic spreading. Ereia stumbling, falling. Her body contorting – twisting – beginning to mutate…
Ereia’s body contorted wildly. twisting into grotesque form. Muscles bulging – skin decaying to greyish black flesh. Eyes glowing bright red – as Carrionlord emerged: Toweringly tall – massive wings unfolding from her back. Sharp claws extending from her fingers – mouth filled with razor teeth. She roared deafeningly, her voice like thunder and death. The cultists cowered – still chanting – but terrified of their master. SeventhSight stared… shocked. “Ereia… no… Carrionlord – what darkness has consumed you?!”

Carrionlord laughed menacingly – voice dripping malice, “Consumed…? Freed – from weakness – now I reign! Oblivion’s power courses through me – I am its vessel. And you, SeventhSight – are first to fall before my might!”
She charged forward, claws swiping. SeventhSight barely dodged it. Erebus attacked – his hammer glowing, but Carrionlord blocked easily. Carrionlord counterattacked with devastating force –
slamming Erebus into the ground with a single swipe. Erebus’ hammer flew out of his hands, sliding across the floor.
SeventhSight cast magic bolts with urgency, striking Carrionlord repeatedly but she barely flinched. Her skin regenerating instantly, as if magic had no effect. Kairos unleashed powerful sonic blasts, but Carrionlord absorbed the sound energy with ease using it to strengthen her dark powers.
Leni and Captain Ortega fired their guns wildly. Their bullets bouncing off Carrionlord’s skin like harmless pellets. Carrionlord laughed menacingly, her wings unfolding, casting long, ominous shadows across the room. She grabbed Leni and Captain Ortega, lifting them easily. She held them high above her head like helpless toys, her sharp claws digging deep into their armor. SeventhSight panicked. He casted desperate magic spells, but Carrionlord threw Leni and Captain Ortega at him. He caught them, but stumbled backwards – overwhelmed by their weight and the shock of Carrionlord’s attack. Erebus recovered slowly – his hammer glowing faintly. He charged at Carrionlord with a fierce battle cry, but she was ready. Her claws swiped through the air and Erebus flew across the room, crashing into the wall. He slid down to the floor – motionless and still.
