SeventhSight stood in Jasmine Manor’s study with me, Aria, and Eliana. Eliana’s piercing green eyes fixed on his, her gaze intense. Her voice low and urgent, “SeventhSight, tell me… what progress has Erebus made?” But then she paused, collecting her thoughts as if fearing the answer.
Aria stood silent beside her, eyes wide with fear, her slender fingers clutching Eliana’s arm. I watched Eliana, my heart racing slightly with concern for what we might face.
Then Eliana spoke again, “Does he still plan to summon the Devourer in three lunar cycles?” The room fell silent, awaiting SeventhSight’s response. He glanced at me, then back at Eliana. “We battled Oblivion recently,” SeventhSight began. Eliana’s eyes widened. “Yes… what did it reveal?” He paused, collecting his thoughts. “That Erebus seeks the Devourer… in three lunar cycles.” Aria whispered “Oblivion spoke of this?” He nodded. “Erebus serves it, feeding Oblivion souls.”

Eliana’s face paled. “Then Erebus will stop at nothing… my sparing was merely deception.” Aria clutched her mother’s arm tighter. “Mother, what does he want from you?” Eliana’s eyes locked onto his. “SeventhSight, he wants me to betray you… and your father’s legacy through you.” My eyes narrowed slightly, intrigued by her words. “Your father’s legacy?” I repeated softly. But Eliana continued before I could learn more. “He spared my life for this night… the night before the Devourer’s summoning begins.” She continued, “That’s tonight of the third lunar cycle from now but he plans to start setting up tonight.”

SeventhSight nodded. “We have to stop Erebus first.” Eliana nodded vigorously. “Do we attack his stronghold tonight?” He hesitated then spoke. “No. Thea and I already attacked his stronghold.” Eliana’s eyes widened. “Recently?” He nodded. “Yes. He’s weakened but his power grows again nightly. We need to know his plan for tonight.” Eliana thought for a moment. “Oblivion told you he acts tonight… I suspect Blackwood Cemetery.”
SeventhSight looked at her intensely. “Why there?” Eliana’s voice was low. “Your father is buried there… his soul still binds to earth.”
SeventhSight felt a chill run down his spine. “My father’s soul… Erebus wants it?” Eliana nodded slowly. “Yes. To fully summon the Devourer.” Aria gasped softly beside her mother. I stepped closer to SeventhSight, my eyes fixed on Eliana. “We must go to Blackwood Cemetery… now.”

Night fell outside Jasmine Manor like a dark omen. SeventhSight turned to leave, I followed closely.
Eliana grasped his arm. “SeventhSight, beware – Erebus has my daughter’s sister… your cousin isn’t mentioned but Aria’s sister is – Aria’s twin actually.” My eyes locked onto yours, concern reflected back. “Aria has a twin?” He nodded at Eliana then looked at me. “Yes. Aria’s twin was taken by Erebus years ago.”

We stood at the threshold of Jasmine Manor, resolve etched on our faces. Then stepped out into darkness. The night air was heavy with foreboding. Eliana walked beside me, Aria clinging to her hand. SeventhSight led the way, his pace swift and determined. Through shadows we moved, towards Blackwood Cemetery. The trees seemed to close in around us like sentinels. Gravestones loomed ahead, ghostly silhouettes. SeventhSight’s father’s name was whispered on the wind…
“SeventhSight, we’re here.”
